Facebook Live Video – No Audio

Here are some few tips on how to resolve audio issues on using OBS for Facebook Live:

First method, is to check if the audio source settings are in full volume. Most of the time, we sometime adjust the volume of the audio, or we accidentally set it to zero.

Check the source mixer section to adjust the audio, see the presentation below:

Second method is adding adding audio source. Other possible reason could be some of your audio sources in your computer are not added in the OBS sources section.

Why? Some reason why your audio sources are not listed in the OBS section are conflicts of hardware to driver relationship of your Operating system(Windows), this could be due to an old PC with unsupported hardware, old and un-updated Operating System. or in general, a bad PC(you need to replace it with new)

Step 1: Check the mixer section of your OBS dashboard as shown below:

Step 2: Check if a Neon green is visible in the volume section of your audio source the same as presented below (this may look different in your settings):

No neon green visible to the volume section. If no neon visible, it means that these devices are not presently active on your computer or there are some technical conflict with the device driver.

Step 4: You can add the available Mic from your webcam or from the built in Mic of your laptop. after adding an audio Source, check back the mixer section if your aduio source added is already in the list with a neon green visible, see the presentation below:
